Home remedies for beautiful skin

Most of us want our skin to glow and look healthy. So, here are some home remedies to make your skin beautiful and look naturally glow without any side effect.

  1. Tea Tree oil

Many of us don’t know that beauty products found in the market can be really harmful for our skin so use our natural home remedies and one of them is using Tea tree also known as Melaleuca alternifolia. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antimicrobial and anti-fungal and it has phytochemicals making it an effective natural skin care essential oil.

  1. Coconut oil

Coconut oil can be used on both skin and hair to help cleanse, moisturize, remove makeup, heal wounds etc. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial properties and healthy fats. Coconut oil also helps digestive function healthy that makes your skin glow naturally.

  1. Apple Cider Vinegar

It is one of the best and effective home remedies to take care of your skin naturally. ACV helps you by killing pathogens, clearing skin problems caused by gut issues thereby stopping acne. ACV has many medicinal values and it has acetic acid which is very beneficial, it also contains detoxifying agents like potassium and magnesium.

  1. Honey

Honey has nutrients, enzymes, vitamins and beneficial acids. Raw honey helps to encourage wound as it has antiseptic properties, fight allergies and rashes. Raw honey is actually unheated, unprocessed and unpasteurized. It makes a great skin care product.

  1. Avocado

Avocado is a moisturizing fatty fruit and gives a lot of benefits. It contains vitamins like A, D and E that penetrate the skin and help soothe your sunburned skin. It is also used to boost collagen production and treat age spots. Make an Avocado face mask with fresh avocado combined with essential oils, honey or carrier oil and apply it on your skin.

  1. Sea salt

Sea salt contains minerals and nutrients like magnesium, sodium, calcium, and potassium that are also found in our skin cells. You can use Celtic sea salts in your homemade facial masks and also with other skin-boosting ingredients like lavender oil, coconut oil etc.

  1. Lemon essential oil

You can use lemon essential oil to diminish acne breakouts caused by high levels of bacteria in your pores. It also helps in fading scars and age spots. It can brighten and lighten your skin, reduce wrinkles etc.

  1. Argan oil

You have to apply Argan oil on your skin and you can also apply it directly on an troubled skin as it helps to heal irritations like acne, bug bites, eczema and psoriasis. Argan oil has been used by Morocco for hundreds of years and it is loaded with Vitamin A and Vitamin E, omega-6 fatty acids etc.

  1. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera as we all know helps in Sunburns but it can also be helpful in fighting bacteria as it contains soothing ingredients.  It detoxifies from the inside out, and it is very effective for healing wounds. If taken orally, it can decrease the number and size of tumors, parasites in the liver, spleen and bone marrow.

  1. Almond oil

We all know how beneficial Almond oil is for us. Almond oil is very nutritious and you can apply it on your skin. It has anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties. It helps in conditions like skin rashes, acne and dryness. It smells great and you can make a masks or lotions of Almond oil.

  1. Jojoba oil

Jojoba oil is native to the southern U.S and Mexico and has been used to treat acne, sunburn, psoriasis and chapped skin. Jojoba oil is very moisturizing and can heal burns, sores, scars, and dermatitis. It also encourages hair regrowth, soothes your skin and unclogs hair follicles. It has polyunsaturated wax useful in providing moisture control, and soothing your skin and hair.

  1. Shea Butter

Shea butter is shipped around the world from Africa where it is largely cultivated. Shea butter is a natural skin care product. You can apply it with your favorite essential oils like eucalyptus, frankincense or even with Lavender oil.

  1. Castor oil

Castor oil is used to cleanse skin and it is actually a drying oil. Take a teaspoon of castor oil, mixed into ¼ cup of coconut oil or almond oil.  Message with it on your face gently and then wash your face with warm water.

  1. Turmeric

Take half or 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 4 tablespoons gram flour and a cup of milk.  Mix the turmeric powder with the gram flour, add milk to the mixture and make a paste. Apply the paste on your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash it off with water.

  1. Baking soda

Take a teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil and half a teaspoon honey. Mix all of them in a bowl, and apply the mixture on your damp face. Leave it for around 10 minutes and then rinse with water. Apply it once a week. Baking soda helps neutralizing your skin’s pH, soothes your skin, and heals inflammation.

  1. Papaya

Take a few pieces of ripe papaya, 1 teaspoon sandalwood powder and a teaspoon honey. Add the sandalwood powder and honey to the small pieces of papaya. Make a paste of them and apply the paste on your face. Leave it for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with water.

  1. Cucumber

Take a small cucumber and 3 tablespoons yogurt. Grate your cucumber and add the yogurt to it. Beat it very well and apply it on your skin. Leave it for 5-6 minutes and then wash it off with water. Cucumber helps improve complexion and reduces swelling.

  1. Olive oil

Olive oil is used to shine skin and it is a very good moisturizer. Flavonoids and polyphenols present in Olive oil can protect your skin from free radicals. Olive oil is excellent for repairing skin cells and makes it healthy and glowing. Massage with the oil on your skin can bring a good result.

  1. Green tea

Take a tablespoon green tea leaves, 1 cup water, 2 teaspoons brown sugar and a teaspoon cream. Boil the leaves in water and wait until the leaves impart color, then remove from the flame. Add 2 teaspoons from it in a bowl. Add the brown sugar and cream, and mix well. Apply it on your face and leave it for 10 minutes and finally rinse it .

  1. Cod liver oil

It is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A,D  etc. Cod liver oil helps to nourish your skin, repair damaged cells, and make your skin glow naturally. Apply it once every day and you will see the amazing result in a few days.

  1. Rose water

It is a very common home remedy to tone skin. It is also used to cleanse and refresh your skin. Actually rose water stimulates blood circulation and balances pH of your skin.

  1. Ubtan

Ubtan has been used for a very long time as a face pack recipe for glowing and healthy skin. You have to grind lentils, rice, and almonds. Add oatmeal and turmeric to the mixture. Then mix well and add water to make it a smooth paste. Apply the paste on your face and then wash it off.

  1. Carrot juice

Carrots contain antioxidants that can cleanse free radicals. Take 4-5 carrots, a peeled ginger and water. Cut the ginger and carrot in small pieces and extract juice from them. Add water to dilute the juice and drink it in the morning.

  1. Orange juice

Drink a glass of orange juice every day because it contains vitamin C that detoxifies your body and clears your complexion. It gives you a healthy and a glowing skin.

  1. Banana

Mash a ripe banana in 2 teaspoons milk and apply it on your skin. Leave it for 14-15 minutes and then rinse with water. Rub an ice cube all over the area for a while. This keeps your skin hydrated, soft and glowing.

  1. Orange peel

Take a few pieces of orange peel and 2 teaspoon rose water. Grind the peel with the rose water to make a paste. Apply the paste on your skin and leave it for 14-15 minutes. At last rinse it off with cold water. Orange is loaded with vitamin C and citric acid which refresh your skin and give it a natural glow.

  1. Green apples

Green apples can stop free radicals that damage your skin cells because they contain antioxidants. You have to mash 1 green apple into a pulp and stir 2 teaspoons of honey and apply the mixture on your skin. Leave it for 14-15 minutes and wash it off.

  1. Apricots

You can apply apricot mask on your face as it makes your skin glow naturally. It is a good source of vitamin A, and helps soften your skin. Soak the apricots overnight in water and mash into a pulp, then stir in a few drops of olive oil. Apply the mixture on your skin and leave it for 14-15 minutes.

  1. Pineapple

It is an excellent home remedy to glow your skin. You can make a pineapple face mask as it is rich in vitamin C, and it can be very helpful for acne. It keeps your pores clean and helps to break down dead skin cells.
